Holland Park Gate | Heritage Replication in GRC
We brought traditional craftsmanship and technical precision together in a heritage-led project, faithfully replicating original terracotta architectural elements in GRC.
The project involved the reproduction of existing columns, originally formed in Terracotta. Using a reverse moulding technique, we captured every detail of the original design, allowing us to recreate the columns in GRC with complete accuracy.
The Technical Challenge: Precision Replication
To ensure precision and integrity, each column was produced in sections, enabling us to mirror the intricate features of the original forms with care and consistency.
Bespoke Sculptural Elements
In addition to the column restoration, we developed a series of bespoke wavy panels to be installed on adjacent walls. These sculptural elements introduced a contemporary rhythm while complementing the classical architectural language.
The Result
This replication process combined traditional materials with modern techniques, preserving the design legacy while enhancing the overall visual narrative of the space. The result is a harmonious blend of restoration and innovation, delivered with characteristic attention to detail.
